The whole thing started with the fact that had to do yet another vision. Angel and his team made their way there - Cordy insisted to come along, for any reason whatsoever. She had described the tasks to be demon as blue and rather small but agile. A simple thing as the team thought. What impact will it have to know, there's none.

They were then still amazed at how great the demon was, but Cordy said her testimony to the fact that most of the demons, they had to fight, a lot were larger. "It depends on the perspective," she said. But no matter how harmless the little miscreant was not. His hands could secretes a toxic liquid that can cause great harm depending on the target. Consequently, the team also had one 's work to do it.
Angel finally had him so much that he lay defenseless on the ground. But the vampire came to his close and so the demon had the opportunity to inject the poison into his eyes. It should be the last thing was to see Angel, before everything vanished around him in the dark
"Oh my God, Angel ..." Cordy came running towards him.
He turned instinctively to her. "Cordy?"
"Everything okay?" Her voice sounded worried. And he suddenly felt as her hands began to investigate him.
"Cordy, all right." He held her hand. "I'm still alive, okay?" She trembled. "All right, I can only see anything ..." He scanned the ground. "You would not help me when you get up?"
A few minutes later she sat in his car already. Angel pleases it does not want anyone else as he drove the car, but he had no other choice at this moment. He noted that no one except him and Cordy sat in the car - where were Wesley and Gunn? "Where"
"They wanted to walk back to get something to eat, Fred."
Angel tried for the remaining journey to orient themselves. He knew he was sitting on the front passenger seat. But where Cordy drove, he knew not. At least not the hotel, as he guessed by the curves. He also still had trouble to come to terms with the situation. It was hard for him by someone else - in this case, Cordy - to be dependent. A completely new experience to the vampire, who otherwise had a (to) lead.
But the lack of eyesight sharpened his other senses, which also usually exceeded those of men. Wenn er das verstärkte Brummen und Quietschen des Autos ignorierte, konnte er Cordys Herzschlag hören. A steady, peaceful rhythm that had a calming influence on him. It gave him the feeling of not being alone. Bum-bum, bum-bum. Angel focused on the heart beat and tried to ban anything from his head. However, the sighs Angel kept repeating again and again like this, in his mind to sink. The more the sighing repeated, the more uneasy was Angel, until he finally gave up, which exclude what was obvious. He knew this sighing, Cordy took so from air, if you were to think of something. And now it was probably the position in which he - put them both respectively. But he did not know what he could say or do to assure her that he was okay and that consequently there was a solution. It was quiet in the car, only gave the car its typical noises.
A while later, brought back the surprise stop in Angel reality. Cordy had turned off the engine and - as noted enjoys fishing - tightened the hand brake. They therefore had to be reached, wherever. The click betrayed Angel, Cordy and Angel got out that it wanted to imitate her.
"Wait." Seconds later, the door to Angels page and Cordy helped him get off. On the way she took it like a small child by the hand. Angel had no objection to let the lead for once by her. If it were up to him, they could make back often. A scent caught his attention, he looked familiar. Near Busch had a flourishing stand, which had probably not open its flowers. "Cordy, where are we? "
" I drove up to me, "said Cordy a little tired.
" Why? "
" I thought it was not a good idea to leave you alone in the hotel "
" Fred is still there .
"They did not really count." Cordys voice told him that they discuss not wanted. "Pause."
Angel stopped and stumbled almost on a stage in front of the entrance, while Cordy fumbled after her apartment key. Finally, she found them and opened the door to Angel further into lead in their living room. He lumbered after her carefully, always in fear of stepping on something. Thank God, they reached the sofa without incident and settled by Cordy push it.
Angel could feel his muscles relaxed and fatigue overcame him slowly. He let the tiredness, the job was finally done and his attention is no longer needed. Cordys crept quietly steps
well through the apartment, she was about to get the bandages. The word 'aid kit' it dawned Angel enormous. How selfish it was of him to think only of themselves earlier and to completely forget! Almost frantically worried he tried to get up again and came to the table.
"Angel! Sh ... Sit back down. I'm here." Cordy came rushing out of the bath and it was just able to stop them to emulate the little table. "Come, sit down again." She pressed him again on the sofa and then set the table again, where it placed the first aid kit. "What's just gotten into you?" She sat down, and Angel could feel his side lowers the sofa. He turned to her. "I ... Are you hurt?" he asked, concerned, his blind eyes searching for an answer. He would never forgive himself if anything happened it would be without him it could have prevented. "Let me see your ..." He stretched out his hands and took her shoulders, where he began to scan their arms. But Cordy freed himself from the grip. "That is now possible with difficulty, Angel. ... You are blind" She turned her attention to the first aid kit.
Angel sat for a moment a little confused on the sofa. Their reaction made his feelings of guilt will only be stronger. Only then he noticed that the disinfectant Cordy well prepared and he better take off his coat and shirt. Only today it was quite a difficult task, if not impossible. The buttons he slipped away again and did not want to leave open. Very focused on his buttons, Angel was shocked when he her warm hands on his skin felt cold to help him with his shirt.
"Ouch," said Cordy finally sympathized Pain in his voice. "You have been hit quite something." She helped him completely out of the shirt.
"There are only superficial wounds. It looks worse than it is ..." Angel took her hand, carefully scanning the wounds. "It will heal. Like everything else. Tell me, if all is well with you." She pulled her hand away and let his prayer be answered for space. Angel had no time to think about it, because even his skin was burning on the belly. Cordy had to have taken well in the meantime, the disinfectant, and applied to its greatest wound. He always suspected that she used with intent of this hellish burning stuff. But the firing was from the contact wiped her hands like, as she stuck the patch on it.
The urge to know how she was left, Angel no peace, and he continued to look for her. The arm of the sofa along he found her shoulder, and finally her face where he gently stroked her cheek. "You all right?" he repeated his question even more apprehensive. It was not normal that they evaded his question this way. Or maybe he was currently only a keener sense of what was going on in it, now that he could no longer see it.
Cordy finally let him have his way. She closed her eyes and he wiped away a single income, which would make their way down her cheeks. Angel heard her sigh, and finally broke they silence her. "You could go on it," she said in a low voice.
"I - we expect this risk every day and again it is part of our job, and we know that, but so far we are from everything came out well again ...." Angel felt they leaned into the touch of his hand as if it would comfort her. "I'm fine, okay?" She nodded. "I just wish I could see you."
a moment both were silent. "If ... this will always be that way?" Cordy asked, finally, uncertainty in his voice.
Angel sighed. The way she asked the question, he almost broke his heart. "It is all good again," he said finally. Partly Cordy to calm himself and sometimes he stretched his arms toward her to hug her. And they actually moved closer and leaned her head on his shoulder. She snuggled into his side going right and he held her easily. They sat and supported each other, it took all its horror and let it look less tragic.
"And with you is really all right?" Asked Angel, finally, when she had calmed down somewhat.
She nodded. "I'm just tired, that's all." She yawned, and he imagined how they looked when they slept. He smiled. It had to be a peaceful sight. He leaned back and settled by Cordys regular breathing and heart beats slowly to sleep. The first time Angel has long felt satisfied, and the happiness a little bit closer.

END

ETA: Thank you first for the feedback. However, I was not satisfied with the first round and got the whole refined again. I work already on a second part, Darla. ;)
